I remember Kate today.
She was a great friend though we were not too close. You know those friends that you can always call on and they will always answer you. She was such a friend. Soo precious. The age difference was clear and long but she did not care. She was still a friend. Kate was beautiful, had the African woman shape with a slim body so she could get any man she wanted. Anyways, Kate got into a toxic relationship. I remember there was this meeting Kate used to hold with her best friend every Sunday. It was a kind of get together.

This guy, I dunno his name (I would have loved to use it)...started by putting her down in front of her best friend who used to manage to fight for her but how do you fight for someone who thinks she's always wrong. After a while, the guy stopped her from being friends with her best friend. He really used to beat her silly then.

On one occasion, he beat her and she called *bestie to save her so they became friends again. She cut ties with him but he found his way back. He made every effort to cut *bestie off again and he succeeded this time with *besties husband warning her to stay off Kate till she puts herself in order. Kate couldn't afford to lose *bestie this time so she went on seeing her quietly. One day, she slept over at *besties place and boyfriend came calling. He did not meet her so he waited for her. When she returned, he accused her of cheating and to prove her innocence, she said she was coming from besties place.

That was the last straw that broke the camels back. He beat her terribly and she went into coma. Somehow, bestie went to check on her the next morning and she found her left for dead. When she awoke from coma, she was only able to say it was her boyfriend that beat her to that extent. She had internal head injuries and couldn't make it. I was told she died three days after. Meanwhile, her parents did not know she was being abused. Bestie who knew was covering up for her.
SAY NO TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
Don't cover up.

The sun pierced through the curtains and into my eyes; with the rays of the sun that filtered in the curtains creating blotches that made my white walls yellowish. I closed my eyes to get more sleep but my banging head left me with no option than to stand up. I sat up for a minute and put my legs down after another.
