You've just been punked.

I don't do news but i have to do this today. Some notable news agencies and blogs in Nigeria including http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/09/gunmen-rob-rape-frcn-training-school-students/ are reporting that students were raped in the last attack by robbers at FRCN training school in Shogunle, Lagos. You can read the detailed report on the site i made available. Unfortunately, that is false information.

As a present student of the school, I can say with all boldness that truly, we were attacked by robbers at some minutes past 2am on Friday morning, no one was raped. That was the third time we were being attacked by robbers but that was the first time they were breaking into the female hostel. They broke into the first two rooms, collected phones and laptops and an iota of truth comes in where truly, a girl who is a sister to a prominent Lagosian was asked to strip. Obviously, she would have been raped but she was bold enough to dare the robbers by refusing to strip. When she refused, she was threatened with a gun but she held the gun and dared the gun-man to shoot her. Boldness at its peak. The robber left almost immediately without having his way. According to her, they said they will return.

What we need in FRCN training school is better security as these dare-devils locked the school from inside, locked the gate-men in, broke into all offices and carted away with enough school properties. Worthy to note is, a female student just bought a laptop a day before and one of the masked men asked specifically for that laptop and the money she withdrew earlier. The voice was a very familiar one so there is an insider. Lights should be pointed in, better security provided and better facilities provided in the hostels. by the way, the doors were changes on Friday. Kudos.
